I don't normally come here because this forum format makes me QQ, but this this must be addressed!
The camera shake in this game is outrageous and too exaggerated. With so many explosive weapons in this game it makes the Mass especially more powerful because it has six rounds a clip. That's a least four seconds where shooting my gun is uderly useless. Note I'm not saying the mass driver needs to be nerfed, but the effect range the camera shake needs to be reduced or removed all together.
Also, I can be on the other side of a large room and those damn explosions shake the camera. It shakes more than any other game I ever played.
BTW, why do flux grenades shake the camera? That's either a mistake or poor design choice. |

Lol Snipers are rarely, if ever, suppose to get hit since they're so far away. Everyone else is getting hit in possibly every direction. You might be a bad sniper.

Yeah, I use Tact AR every now and then. The recoil for ADS should be reduced, but that's for another thread.

I haven't looked at the MD stats in a while. I figured it was slightly more than 60 RPM. My mistake. Even so, the MD is still a good weapon, explosion effects just make it ridiculous. |

Although I am fine with it being as high as it is when I am hit directly with explosive weapons. MLT AR has a DPS of 425 so in less then 2 second it can kill most suits the MD has a direct shot DPS of best MD is 270 and getting a direct shot is much harder then with the AR to land 100% of shots so it take doubles the time to do the same damage as the most basic weapon in the game. 138 on splash so with splash is take 3 1/2 time longer to the same thing as an MLT AR would. even the standard SMG beats in damge with 350 DPS....
You're implying those AR guys have 100% accuracy all the time and the enemy isn't armor tanking. |

Why not? It's still outrageous that some explosion not effecting me shakes my camera. |

I do use flux and so do smart MD users, your argument is invalid. The reason I said armor tanking is because ARs are slightly weak against armor. Don't try sell me that MD are underpowered, you're not mentioning the direct damage.
Camera shake just shouldn't be so common, especially when I'm not taking damage. |

MD in damage are weak for damage but make up for it in other area.. wait i feel like i have said this before... i have. its like talking to bricks but more creepy to do so. and you never told me how my point was invalid you just said you use the same combo and if your going to quote do it right i hate fix other people quoting; you didn't even hit the limit on quotes so why you mess it up?

And the argument is invalid because we both have the same gear so should have an equal chance of winning. Of course, there are other factors like positioning and strategy involved.
I forgot mention in the last post that most people don't have 50% accuracy. My source? Well Dust doesn't count accuracy that I'm aware of, but BF3 and almost all CoDs do (lolcod). Those games have massive aim-assist and common accuracy range between 15-35%. Anything outside that range is uncommon. And Dust, as of now, doesn't have aim-assist. I'm not going to do the stats of what this adds up to because I need to get back to work.
As for me misreading direct and splash damage......oops. Doesn't change the fact that AR and SMG users aren't as accurate as you think. It may be even less accurate in this game because- wait for it......camera shake.
And way to make it personal by comparing me to bricks. I never attempted to insult you. Good job. The term is "brick wall" by the way. |

Just did the math. Assuming that the AR user has 25% accuracy, the DPS is 106.25.
It's 134.16 for the SMG if the accuracy is 35%. Very few people are this accurate.
Note these are for the basic versions of the weapons and these numbers are most likely even lower if there are explosions everywhere.
My point stands, reduce or remove camera shake. |
